Scale Indicator IntegrationsIf your weight indicator can stream in continuous mode over a serial port or TCP/IP — and virtually every truck-scale indicator sold in the last forty years can — CloudAgg reads it. Rice Lake, Mettler Toledo, Cardinal, Avery Weigh-Tronix, Fairbanks, and the rest: keep your scale, keep your indicator, and put the scale house in the cloud.
Set to continuous output, your indicator broadcasts the live weight several times per second — the same stream that drives a remote display or scoreboard.
A lightweight site relay picks up the stream — over RS-232 serial directly, or over your network via TCP/IP — and feeds the live reading to your CloudAgg scale house.
Weight capture waits for a stable reading and a clear deck, with a minimum-vehicle-weight floor — a bad capture is stopped before it becomes a ticket.
CloudAgg records the reading exactly as transmitted and never alters it. Your indicator stays the legal-for-trade device; every ticket carries an audit trail.
Most indicators leave the factory in demand-print mode. Switching a port to continuous output is a settings-menu change — our team walks your scale tech through it on the onboarding call. Note for the controls-minded: CloudAgg uses the plain continuous ASCII stream over serial or standard TCP/IP, not industrial fieldbus protocols like EtherNet/IP or Modbus TCP — so no PLC option cards are required.

No Ethernet port, no problem. A serial-to-Ethernet device server plugs into the indicator's RS-232 port and republishes the weight stream over TCP/IP on your scale-house network — no changes to the indicator, no recertification of the scale.
The industry-standard serial device server. The 5110 handles RS-232; the 5150 adds RS-422/485 for indicators wired that way. Set it to TCP server mode, point CloudAgg at its address, done.

Yes. A serial-to-Ethernet device server (such as a Moxa NPort 5110 or 5150, typically around a hundred dollars) plugs into the indicator's RS-232 port and puts the weight stream on your scale-house network. CloudAgg reads it over TCP from there. This is how decades-old indicators go cloud without replacing anything.
No. If your indicator has Ethernet — native or via an option card — CloudAgg connects over TCP/IP directly. If it only has serial, a small serial-to-Ethernet converter does the same job. Either path works; you don't need to buy anything from the scale manufacturer.
Never. CloudAgg records the certified weight exactly as the indicator transmits it, gates capture on a stable reading, and keeps an integrity-verified audit trail on every ticket.
