Scale Indicator Integration

Cloud scale ticketing for Fairbanks scales.

Fairbanks instruments stream the live weight in documented continuous modes — PC Continuous and Network Continuous on the current FB6000 series, and classic serial streams (including Toledo-, Cardinal-, and Condec-style formats) on the FB2250 family. CloudAgg reads them over serial or TCP/IP and runs your scale house from the cloud: ticketing, pricing, inventory, dispatch, and an unattended kiosk.

How it connects

Speaks Fairbanks continuous.

Multiple stream dialects

The FB6000 streams PC Continuous over serial and Network Continuous over Ethernet. The FB2250/FB2255 can emit Fairbanks/Toledo-, Cardinal 738-, or Condec-style strings — whichever your site is already wired for, CloudAgg reads it.

PC & Network Continuous

Network-ready instruments

The FB6000 series and the FB2550 have Ethernet on board — CloudAgg connects straight over the scale-house network. The FB2250/FB2255 stream over RS-232/422/485, with Ethernet available as an option.

Matrix truck scale? Covered.

Matrix is Fairbanks' weighbridge — the instrument paired with it (the FB2550/FB2560 family) is what CloudAgg talks to. If a Matrix sits in your yard, the connection story above is your connection story.

Supported models

Fairbanks indicators CloudAgg reads.

Every model below has a manufacturer-documented continuous output. Don't see yours? Send us the model number — if the manual shows a continuous or stream mode, it connects.

Serial-only indicator or no option card? A serial-to-Ethernet device server such as the Moxa NPort 5110/5150 (typically around $100) puts the RS-232 stream on your network — no changes to the indicator, no recertification of the scale. Details on the integrations overview.

Switching software, keeping hardware

Your Fairbanks instrument stays. The legacy software goes.

If SMSTurbo, ScaleIt, or WinTik is reading your Fairbanks instrument today, CloudAgg reads the very same stream — switching software never means touching the scale. We import your materials, customers, trucks, and price lists, and our team handles the hardware call with your scale tech. See the guide to switching scale-ticketing software.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Does CloudAgg work with the FB2550?

Yes. The FB2550 has Ethernet on board, so CloudAgg connects directly over the network — or over any of its three serial ports. If you've moved to the newer FB2558 or FB2560, contact us and we'll confirm your unit's output configuration.

We bought a Fairbanks Matrix truck scale. Which part does CloudAgg connect to?

The instrument, not the weighbridge. Matrix decks pair with Fairbanks' FB-series instruments (commonly the FB2550/FB2560 family), and that instrument's continuous output is what CloudAgg reads.

Our 2800 is in an intrinsically-safe area. Can it still connect?

Yes — outside the hazardous zone. The 2800 streams over RS-232/20mA through its safety barriers; a serial-to-Ethernet device server on the safe side of the barrier puts the stream on the network. Your Fairbanks tech will recognize the arrangement immediately.

Which setting do I change on the instrument?

Set the port CloudAgg listens on to a continuous output mode — PC Continuous on serial, or Network Continuous over Ethernet on the FB6000. Our team walks your scale tech through it on the onboarding call.

Will connecting CloudAgg affect the scale's certification?

No. CloudAgg is a read-only listener on the instrument's output — the same stream that feeds a remote display. It records the certified weight exactly as transmitted and never alters it; the instrument remains the legal-for-trade device.
