It removes the on-prem Windows scale-house PC, the VPN-for-support model, and the per-seat license dongles while preserving the operator-driven ticket workflow those users expect.

Does CloudAgg work with existing scale hardware?

Yes. CloudAgg is hardware-agnostic. It connects to any standard RS-232 or USB scale indicator through a lightweight on-site relay. There is no proprietary indicator requirement, so quarries keep their existing scales and load cells.

How long does CloudAgg take to deploy?

A single tenant is provisioned in minutes and most quarries are fully cut over within 24 hours. Customers, products, trucks, and price rates are importable from CSV.

Who is CloudAgg designed for?

CloudAgg targets small-to-mid-market aggregate, sand, gravel, and crushed-stone operations running between 1 and 10 scales. It is intentionally not built for very large multi-region operators with bespoke ERP integrations, who are better served by enterprise platforms such as Command Alkon Apex.

Does CloudAgg support customer-specific pricing?

Yes. CloudAgg supports both default price rates and customer-specific negotiated rates with effective dates. The most-specific match is applied at ticket time, and operators can override the line price on individual sales orders for one-off deals.

How does CloudAgg handle truck and trailer tare weights?

Truck and trailer tare weights are registered once in the admin surface. Trailers can optionally be scoped to a specific customer. At weigh-out, CloudAgg automatically stacks the truck tare and the trailer tare to compute the empty weight, with an explicit override available if the operator wants to capture a fresh empty weigh.

How does CloudAgg keep tenant data isolated?

CloudAgg uses PostgreSQL row-level security policies enforced at the database role level. Every per-tenant table carries a tenant_id, and the runtime database connection cannot read across tenants even if application code attempts it. Tenant scope is set per query via a session GUC, so cross-tenant leakage is structurally prevented.

Does CloudAgg have an unattended kiosk mode for driver self-service?

Yes. CloudAgg ships an unattended kiosk mode with PIN-based driver authentication. Drivers can weigh in, complete the ticket, and weigh out without an on-site operator. The kiosk UI uses large touch targets designed for outdoor display hardware and works 24/7.

Does CloudAgg have a customer self-service portal?

Yes. Wholesale customers can log in to a self-service portal to view their tickets, transaction history, and download statements. CloudAgg uses an assignable security profile for the Customer role so you control exactly which data each customer can see.

What AI features does CloudAgg offer?

CloudAgg has AI built into the operator workflow: weight anomaly detection (flags weighed tares that differ from stored tare or from the truck's running-median tare), natural-language ticket queries (type 'show me tickets from Acme last week' and it sets the filters), semantic search on ticket memos (find tickets by meaning, not just keyword match), demand forecasting by site and product, smart void-ticket suggestions based on history, and smart autocomplete trained on each tenant's own data. AI is included in standard tiers — not an enterprise-only upcharge.
